OUR STORY
It started with a dog named Solstice.
The inspiration for 'dear human' came from my dog, Solstice. I lost him when he was only eight years old. It was a very difficult chapter in my life and his loss made everything feel much heavier.
After he passed I carried a lot of guilt. I think many of us feel that silent worry that we failed them in some way. I needed a way to find peace so I wrote a letter from his perspective. It changed how I viewed his life and his death. I finally understood that he did not spend his time blaming me. He only loved me. I started 'dear human' to help other people find that same sense of closure and to help them hold onto the love instead of the guilt.
